The Portland Company is a ten-acre industrial site with a commanding location in downtown Portland on the waterfront.
It was established in 1846 as a locomotive foundry to build railroad equipment for the connection between Portland and Montreal. It has a proud history of serving New England manufacturer’s and utilities while building 628 locomotives and 160 ships (including Iron Clads), and equipment for the Panama Canal.
Today, the property features a small marina, several office tenants, The Narrow Gauge Railroad and a variety of rare industrial spaces that are frequently rented for events and functions large and small. The magnificent settings of 58 Fore are unique and stunning backdrops for events of all types.
Due to upcoming potential development plans, the property will not be able to host any weddings or events after July 3, 2017.
